Capacities vary from venue to venue. Some castles offer spacious halls for larger wedding parties, whilst others are ideal for smaller celebrations with a limited number of guests.
Is it possible to hire a castle exclusively for a wedding?
Depending on the venue, exclusive use may be possible. Many castle hotels offer bespoke packages whereby wedding parties can use specific areas or the entire estate.

Do castle hotels also offer accommodation for wedding guests?
Yes. As hotel establishments, all the castles and manor houses offer stylish rooms and suites, so the bride and groom and their guests can stay on site. The only exceptions are Gobelsburg Castle, Hellbrunn Palace and the Stiegl-Brauwelt – all three are fantastic venues for celebrations, with accommodation available nearby.
Is it possible to have a winter wedding at the castle?
Yes. Especially during the cooler months, castles with candlelight, open fires and festive cuisine create a particularly atmospheric ambience.
