Walking barefoot through the grass beneath the shade of chestnut trees. Autumn light; the last warmth of summer and a hint of hops. Sampling the different types, glasses of amber and dark brown. A curved wooden encasement embraces the glass front of the bar; inside, the gleam of a copper brew kettle. In the evening, crackling flames in the braziers and a luminescent golden-yellow room filled with conversations.

As Austria’s first beer farm, Stiegl-Gut Wildshut invites you to discover the art of brewing with all your senses during guided tours and tastings. Seasonal organic-quality dishes are served in the ‘Kråmerladen’, while the guesthouse we added in 2018 promises a recuperative night’s sleep on hops-stuffed pillows and beds made of pine.
