Hotel See-Villa on Millstätter See
The See Villa, set amid a beautifully maintained park right on the shore of Millstätter See, is an establishment for individualists. The hotel was built in 1884 by famous architects Mayreder and Köchlin (also builders of the Ronacher in Vienna), the very first hotel on Millstätter See, uniting the elegance of the past with the luxury of the present. Since 1976, the family of the current owner, Count Tacoli, has run the hotel.
Enjoyment and relaxation with unique views, at probably the most beautiful location on the lake
With almost 200 m of shoreline, the hotel undoubtedly enjoys the most beautiful location on the lake. Whether in the daytime over coffee & cake, or in the evening during a candlelight dinner accompanied by a bottle of good wine – beneath the linden trees on the terrace, with views of the lake and mountains, you are truly spoiled by the Falstaff-listed à-la-carte restaurant with culinary treats that include wild game from their own hunting grounds (venison, pheasant, wild boar etc.) or freshly caught fish from the region.
In summer, the broad sunbathing lawns invite you to stretch out, unwind completely and soak up the sunshine. Immediately adjacent is the Bath House, which features a sauna, steam bath and massage services, while two Green-Set tennis courts lie directly behind Villa Tacoli. Millstätter See Golf Club, just 5 minutes from the hotel, offers discounted green fees to hotel guests as well as preferred tee times. An extended and well-maintained network of hiking paths, both close to the lake as well as high in the mountains, is sure to set every true hiker’s pulse racing in pure anticipation. Also in winter, guests of the See-Villa are able to enjoy the many benefits of the hotel – whether at the annual, high-spirited New Year’s Eve Party with gala dinner and a fireworks show over the lake, or during ski season, perhaps sipping on mulled wine or hot punch by the romantically flickering light of the braziers in the heated lounge on the lake terrace after a day on the pistes (Millstatt lies in the middle of several ski areas).
