The Bergschlössl

The last run of the day. The snow firm, providing good grip, all the way down to the valley. Slicing ever closer to the houses, the hotel at the end of the piste already visible from afar; smoke from the chimney and light in the windows. Casting off the many layers of warm clothing and falling tired into bed, immediately enclosed by thick curtains of green satin. A silent space is created and only your own breath can be heard.
