The Wine Festival of last year and the St. Martin’s Feast were a big success. Therefore Český Krumlov decided to renew and complete the event this year with new highlights. Experience this year’s Wine Festival in Český Krumlov!
The Wine Festival in Český Krumlov starts with the arrival of St. Martin and combine wine, gastronomy and culture. It wants to be a feast for all senses and include a nice program with events such as the performance of the most popular sommelier of Czech Republic, M. Michal Šetka at the Altstadthotel Konvice, a castle gala evening with the celebrity chef Radek Šubert and many other attractions.
The festive toast with St. Martin’s wine on St. Martin’s Day will open the festival. The toast will take place on Monday 11th of November at the symbolic time of 11 o’clock and 11 minutes on Svornosti Square in Český Krumlov.
The Wine Festival itself will take place in the riding school of the castle on Saturday, 29th of November beginning at 02:00 p.m. and will last till the evening. Two local bands will perform: the group “Chlapi v sobě” and the modern cimbal music group “Medicimbal”. During this afternoon, visitors have the possibility to talk with the wine growers in order to learn more about their products.

Gastronomy, based on local products, is highlightened. Until the end of the month, you may taste specialities and wine in 13 partner restauants of Český Krumlov. The wine tasting will be a journey through Europe’s most important wine regions. You will try Tuscan and German Rieslings, judge Moravian Sauvignon and know a lot of interesting facts and stories about the different wine growing regions.
