Oliver Müller now in charge at Schlosshotel Wendorf
On 14 April 2014, the time had finally arrived – Schlosshotel Wendorf and its gourmet restaurant “Cheval Blanc” began their new season under the leadership of hotel director Oliver Müller.
This Friesland native is already well acquainted with “castle life” after having run DORMERO Schlosshotel Reichenschwand from December 2011 until November 2013. Now, barely 22 years after beginning his training as a cook and then successfully graduating from the School of Hotel Management, the 39-year-old has taken charge at this 5-star Castle Hotel.
Müller also worked as “commis de cuisine”, both at renowned restaurants and hotels in Germany and Switzerland as well as on a cruise ship. He gathered additional management experienced at the famous SUVRETTA HOUSE in St. Moritz under Vic Jacob.
“We are delighted to welcome such a dedicated hotel director as Oliver Müller, and are convinced that he will employ all of his considerable skills in catering to the wishes of our discerning guests”, state Udo and Monika Chistée, CEO’s and owners of Schlosshotel Wendorf.
Nestled amid 200,000 m² of park grounds, this Castle Hotel opened its doors in 2009 after being renovated top to bottom, now offering nine luxurious and individually appointed suites. Located in the adjacent “Residenz” are another 6 deluxe double rooms and 6 junior suites, decorated in the traditional style of the region’s country homes.
Individuality is what makes this hotel something truly special; Exclusivity for guests of the establishment is the foremost priority.
At restaurant “Cheval Blanc”, which was awarded 2 toques by Gault & Millau in 2013, chef de cuisine Phillip Probst gives the palates of hotel guests an unforgettable treat.
