Oberjäger, guesthouses in the garden of Schloss Lackenbach
Lackenbach - Burgenland - Austria
A home base and oasis of peace in a green setting, with modern design elements inside historic rooms.
Retreat in the Blaufränkisch winegrowing region
Historic rooms that are radiantly warm in winter and refreshingly cool in summer. Amid a landscape that is shaped by wine, culture and boundless diversity.
Place of inspiration and nature
Gästehaus Oberjäger is unique. In its location. In its design. The backdrop provided by the historically listed building complex of Schloss Lackenbach with its rich history, culture and delightful grounds. Gästehaus Oberjäger draws upon all of this. In its interior décor. In its overall concept. Modern elements reflect the garden, nature and botanical features. And also, of course, the hunt.
History and modern architecture
The décor of the rooms was the inspiration of “Polka-Design”. Guaranteeing distinctive design characterized by refined restraint. No one room is like another. Not least because the historic furniture in each of them is one-of-a-kind. They are combined with exquisite fabrics and a certain twinkle-in-the-eye reference to nature.
A big table, a well-equipped kitchen, a cozy setting. The Cooking Salon is the focal point of the Gästehaus. It is here that breakfast is served, featuring only those foods which grow and are produced nearby: juices, eggs, sausage, though also goat cheese and a variety of sweet temptations from the region. Fruits and vegetables, depending on the season, even come from the Oberjäger’s own garden. And diners who love fresh, full flavors, may well wish to refine their egg dish with wild herbs from the park or combine it with products from Bio-Landgut Esterhazy.
