Bettina and Mark Wiesinger of Hotel & Villa Auersperg are “Hosts of the Year 2017”. Castle Hotels & Mansions awarded both of them this coveted title at this year’s annual general assembly in Vienna.
“Bettina and Mark Wiesinger have more than earned this award from Castle Hotels & Mansions”, explains president Max Eidlhuber. “Guests of Hotel & Villa Auersperg experience the highest quality in all areas, along with sincere hospitality.”
Bettina Wiesinger is absolutely convinced that “it is the soul of the house, the tangible atmosphere that makes the difference”. “The philosophy of the Auersperg reflects our attitude as hosts: Only when all the people associated with the hotel are contented – the owners themselves, the staff, the suppliers and tradesmen with whom we are in regular contact – can we achieve our foremost goal, which is to have happy and satisfied guests. Then you know that your work makes sense!”
Managing your staff with respect and sensitivity, ensuring a quality workplace, allowing for flexible scheduling so that employees can mesh career with family, as well as ecological sustainability – these are no mere empty catchphrases for Bettina and Mark Wiesinger. With their philosophy of running the villa true to the premise of an “economy for the common good”, the two have assumed a leading role in the Austrian hotel industry.
“The Auersberg is a hotel that is operated with passion, and a shining example of how women, both in leadership as well as all members of the employee team, can reconcile career with family harmoniously, insofar as the appropriate framework is provided”, explains Max Eidlhuber. “As parents of three children, hosts and owners Bettina and Mark Wiesinger have managed to create, both for themselves as well as their employees, an ideal workplace: The entire team goes about their work with joy and enthusiasm – something you can also read in their excellent guest ratings.”
This house was originally a private city villa with individual apartments, built in 1889 by the Ceconi family, prominent architects and builders of their time, while Bettina Wiesinger’s grandmother opened it up as a guesthouse in 1950. Today, thanks to the continued, forward-looking efforts of parents Kurt and Erika Raschhofer, it is now one of the leading 4-star hotels in Salzburg City, famous for its special ambience, the magical garden, high quality and very personal service.
Bettina Wiesinger runs the hotel along with the adjacent Villa Auersperg; Husband Mark is self-employed in the field of building design, and is personally responsible for the architecture and many special details you encounter throughout the house.
