Winery Fischer

Christian Fischer winery in Sooss near Baden has been family-owned since 1662. Christian Fischer has been responsible for the wines here since 1983. The name Fischer stands for full-bodied, complex wines with an harmonious structure and pleasant finish.

Growing on the hillsides of the Soosser Lindkogel are outstanding Zweigelts, Burgundies and Merlots, as well as full-bodied whites. The house’s best Zweigelt comes from the Gradenthal vineyard, available as “Gradenthal PREMIUM” both winery-direct and from quality wine retailers. The CLASSIC wines from the house of Fischer are whites and reds held in steel vats, whilst the predicate “PREMIUM” indicates those reds which have been held in barriques.

Their wines, which have received recognition by Falstaff on multiple occasions, can be sampled by the glass at the Fischer family’s wine tavern.
