Wine Estate Bründlmayer
The Bründlmayer Wine Estate presently manages 75 ha of primarily terraced vineyards, in the best locations around Langenlois & Kamptal, 50 miles west of Vienna. Among the Grüner Veltliners , are some stars like the classics “Loiser Berg” and “Berg-Vogelsang” or the incredibly opulent, fine “reserves” from the single vineyards Lamm and Käferberg. Among the Rieslings, the fruity Steinmassel competes every year with the elegantly structured Heiligenstein.
The „Alte Reben“ (old vines) and “LYRA” of the Heiligenstein embody terroir and concentration. Besides: Hugh Johnson simple quotes “Bründlmayer Brut” as “Austria’s Best Sekt.” Zweigelt, St. Laurent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay belong to Bründlmayer’s acclaimed specialities as well as the rare but exquisite sweet wines from Riesling, Muskateller or Grüner Veltliner.
In Austria the name of Bründlmayer has become a synonym for absolutely reliable top quality.
“Almost every wine, from the lightest Grüner Veltliner to the red wine and the sparkling wine has what it takes to be the best of the vintage in its category.” Peter Moser, Falstaff, in: “The Ultimate Austrian Wines Guide 2007/08, quoted five stars - means one of the four superlative Austrian estates”.
“Best Austrian Winery of the last 25 years” (Wines&Spirits Magazine USA 2007).
