What is the Sport & Shooting Club all about?
Baron Hubert von Pantz acquired the castle in 1935. True to his favorite pastimes and the baron’s illustrious friends from the old Austrian nobility, he established the world's most exclusive club for high society here at Schloss Mittersill: known as Sport & Shooting Club Mittersill. After the Second World War, Hubert von Pantz succeeded in bringing together the old European nobility with the new financial elite, especially from America. The Shah of Persia, Princess Soraya, the Duke of Windsor, Aristotle Onassis, Coco Chanel, Rita Hayworth, Gina Lollobrigida, Clark Gable, and many more signed the guestbook of Schloss Mittersill.
