Over the course of many years, Hans Asamer has taken this structure, located adjacent to the baroque Mondsee basilica and left essentially unused for the better part of two centuries,  and, in strict compliance with building codes designed to preserve historical buildings, has converted it into a jewel of modern hotel architecture.
