The former vintage house, an architectural gem which was Baroquified by Jakob Prandtauer - an Austrian architect and stonemason - provides the setting for experiencing the Wachau region and its culinary culture in a modern and enjoyable way.

The heart of Karl Holzapfel’s business is an approximately 14 hectares large area planted with vines producing dry, fruity and lively wines that are a delicious accompaniment to the classical Austrian delicacies prepared by Barbara Holzapfel and her team. The culinary treats, great wines and many times award-winning spirits from the winery’s own distillery can be enjoyed in outstanding surroundings, a combination of ancient vaults with baroque influences and chic, lounge-like interior design.
